Christmas Video

As promised... a video from yesterday's fun.

Merry Christmas

Before we head of to Hutchinson for Christmas #4 (in two days), I wanted to share a couple pictures from yesterdays fun.

The Family Picture @ The Dunphy's

After a great breakfast at the Dunphy's, it was off to the farm for Christmas with the Anderson's. I heard there were 30 or so people there, so you can imagine it was a little crazy... Sylvia was a champ with all the new faces. She was full of giggles.

She managed to get a little nap on the drive home from Northfield and then up to Brooklyn Park. It was good she go some rest... check out that pile of presents!

Are you kidding me?

Taking in my 1st Christmas

After only napping for about 45 minutes, Sylvia was still smiles from ear to ear when nightfall came. She 'opened' most of her presents, but then couldn't take it any longer. I laid her down in the pack n play, and she was out in less than 10 seconds! It was amazing...

That was pretty much our entire day... I may try to get a video up before we take off today.

Superfans

Last Sunday the kids got together to watch a little Vikings football action... As you can see from the expressions on their faces, it was a suspenseful one.

"Come on T-Jack, hold on to the football!"

Hope everyone has an enjoyable Christmas Eve. We plan on starting off our new family tradition consisting of:

1. Frozen Pizza
2. Pajamas
3. Movies
4. Popcorn
4b. Jamie will probably grab some ice cream too!

First Christmas pictures to be posted later!!!

Happy Brithday Trinity

Finally Trinity is old like me! Paul through a great surprise party for Trinity on Saturday night...

She got some great presents like:

A potato scrubber

and Mystic the Unicorn (from Sylvia)

She also received several other great gifts, but she did mention that Mystic was by far her favorite gift.

Trinity's sister, Jessie, also got to spend some time with Sylvia...

And finally, going after some of the bubbly.

Even though there was a blizzard and it was flippin' cold, we all had a great time and the surprised look on Trinity's face was priceless!

BBrrrrrrrrrrr

Winter is here, but I don't think Sylvia has a clue. I think she is ready for the north pole.

Sylvia's Acting Debut

Today at daycare was the annual holiday program. Sylvia was lucky enough to win the lead of Rudolph! Here she is leading the sleigh.

Who can't smile when they see this little angel.

Not quite sure, but it looks like Mrs. Claus may have ate the last reindeer.

My name is Sylvia... My name is Lucy

This is what happens when you show Jamie how to use the camcorder and Daddy gets home from work late...

The actual licking (including face) went on for about 2 1/2 minutes, but I thought I would spare you... and yes, she is wearing her Christmas dress with a green frog bib. Good thing, because Jamie mentioned that Sylvia had a little spit-up.

She also enjoyed some fun times with her new stuffed animal from Pat and Mary K.

Have a great evening... I am enjoying mine at home, since my trip was postponed. It is nice to be home now, but I am nervous about when I will have to travel next with the holidays quickly approaching.

Gramps

Cutie Pie

Just wanted to show off another cute picture of Shaylan. She is about 8 months older than Sylvie and I think they have the same eyes. Shaylan and Sylvie are cousins and soon they will be the best of friends. At this point Shaylan is very curious about Sylvie and doesn't like it when "her" grandma holds another baby. Good thing Sylvie is still to small to understand jealousy. It will be interesting when they are both a little older.

Happy Birthday Shaylan!

Just a couple cute pictures of Shaylan enjoying her first cake. She started out like a little lady and then the sugar kicked in and she really got into it.

Puppy Dog Eyes

What are you thankful for?

I am thankful for the strong hands that hold mine.

I know that is a little cheesy, but I could get into a lot more cheesy stuff like being thankful for her little toes that wiggle out of her socks her her big eyes that are full of giggles and love, but I will stop there. This is the kinda stuff you think about in the middle of the night while nursing. Then I realized that my mom probably had these thoughts about me too.

So here are some other things I am thankful for:
ice cream--and lots of it
a good book
naps
ice cream

Sylvia is thankful for:
nuks
her fingers-they provide hours of entertainment
super soft bamboo diapers
the blue frog on her exersaucer

Adam is thankful for (in no particular order):
2 good jobs
Sylvia's great daycare
our wonderful friends and family
Jameson Irish Whiskey

Please leave us comments letting us know what you are thankful for!

Happy Birthday Grandma Charlie!

Hi Grandma, Just wanted to say Happy Birthday!

What!?!?!? You are how old-that is crazy! love you Sylvie

Five big ones

Who turned 5 this week??

Grandma Charlie

Blake

Sean

I guess everybody gets the same candle, but don't worry everybody got their own cake. Blake got cupcakes, Mom got white cake with white frosting and Sean got toilet paper cake:)

Mom made this gigantic sock monkey for Blake. Maybe when Blake is 10 he will be bigger than the monkey.

No pictures of Sylvie, she spent the party being crabby in the other room. I guess she doesn't like it when the attention isn't all on her:)

Gurgle Gurgle

Sylvia was 'talking' with Jamie this weekend. I found their conversation to be very exciting!

Not much is new with us, besides the obvious... Looking forward to seeing the families for Thanksgiving. Hopefully some new pictures will be posted soon as well.

4 Month Photo Shoot

A couple days late, but here is Sylvia at four months old.

We got Video

With the addition of Sylvia to our family, we have had to make many new purchases... A crib, a swing, baby clothes, diapers... you know, the staples. One other item that seems to be a staple with parents these days is a camcorder.

Just last week, our new toy arrived. Here is a quick little video of Sylvia talking away this morning while Mom and Dad were trying to sleep in.

Hope you enjoyed, and we will have more soon.

Cute Pic

Just wanted to share a picture :)

Rain Forest Jungle

Half of our living room resembles Costa Rica but Sylvie loves it. Her legs are about a foot to short but she doesn't care. Her sweater is a little big, but it helps to keep her upright, plus it is super cute and seems to match everything. I think this is the beginning of toys taking over our house.

Sunday with Great Grandpa

Sylvia had a little visit with grandpa on Sunday. They are just about 90 years apart in age. Someday Sylvie hopes to grow as tall as grandpa and maybe she will have as much hair too.

Do these two great grandpas get a 2 for 1 deal? I think Adam might have a new hair style soon.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!

For Sylvia's first Halloween, Jamie, Missy, and Sylvia spent the night in, while Dad was curling. For our decoration out front, neighbors Ben and Bonnie carved this pumpkin for us.

But what is Halloween without Trick or Treating? At daycare, Sylvia and her classmates went from room to room in her building and loaded up on treats. Look at this stash!

Also included with the treats was this strange creature, let's call her Sally. Do anyone know what kind of creature Sally is? No matter what she is, I have a pretty good idea that Lucy will love her very much!

That is about it for now... Have a happy weekend.

Ice Cream Monster

I think he gets his ice cream monster genes from his aunt:)

Stinky

Adam asked if my present needed to be wrapped, I said yes. Maybe next year I will say no.

Meg made up for Adam's slacking with a beautiful gift and chocolate:) Plus she brought her momma with so we had a great girlie time.

Mary (the momma) gave me a Raggedy Anne that she made. She is even cuter in real life!

I am doing things a little out of order but I went out with Trin to celebrate the last day of my twenties. You can visit her blog for pictures and a proper description of the evening. She gave me a really neat knitting sock kit thing. Her blog also has a better description of how the sock kit works.

Don't mess with me!

This is a picture that grandma took. I am not really sure what she was doing to Sylvie:)

What does Lucy want?

thanks liz

Stolen Photo

Sorry I couldn't help it. I stole this from Zac and Liz's blog. They have lots of cute pictures of Sawyer on their blog so check it out.

Pumkin Carving Celbration

These are a bunch of pictures from our fun day of pumpkin carving. Since time seems to go way to quick now that I am back at work I think I will just be posting lots of pictures.

not so sure about this pumpkin thing--they are icky inside

they look like little angels-maybe that is their costume??

Scott can hold a pea pod, drink beer, take pictures and cut stuff all at the same time. Wow his wife is one lucky lady.

they don't seem to mind the pumpkin slime

I think he is tooting

not sure what he is up to

Vonnie-I hope this makes you happy :)--buy lots of shoes over there and don't forget to get me a b-day present!
