We're Home

At just under seven weeks old, Violet is home! It was quite the process, but the time went by pretty fast. We were joking with the nurse yesterday that Jamie and I didn't even get in a stress-related yelling match... Much better than most couples in our situation said the nurse. I guess we will wait for the stress related issues to start once we add sleep deprivation on top of it.

To be allowed to take her home, she needed bolsters in her carseat. Seems like an infant insert would be easier to use, but that was a 'no no'. Oh well, that will change soon!

While she is about 1# lighter than Sylvia when we came home, they look like they fill out the car seat about the same. (see post from 3 years ago - link)

I am sure we will have many stories to share over the next few days, but bottom line is she is home! Yeah!!!

Whoo-hoo! Glad this long-awaited day has come! Good luck with the adventures to come; you know where we are if we can do anything to help!

(and they did the same thing with the rolled up blankets when we brought Charlie home... Made us laugh.)

It was fun to visit you and Violet in person, and now to follow your adventures from afar...lucky thing that babies usually only happen in young families, as we old ones couldn't possibly muster the energy and patience it takes to raise little ones!
